User Involvement in IT Software Development

Have you ever overlooked an opportunity to involve end users in the software development process?  Have you ever wondered to what extent involving them would be appropriate?  Building regular user participation into a project reduces risk and may provide the development team with additional resources to help get things done.  During this session, the speaker will present a comprehensive toolkit enabling an IT (MIS) project manager to plan and communicate in advance the extent of user involvement s/he will need throughout a project.
 

About the Speaker:

Paul Elletson is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota's Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE) program.  Paul's Master's thesis was on the topic of User Involvement in IT Software Development.  For the past 12 years, Paul has been employed by General Electric, most recently as a Global IT Project Manager and Software Process Improvement Lead for GE Capital Fleet Services in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
