About the Speaker:

Walker Royce is a Vice President at Rational Software Corporation where he serves as the General Manager of the Worldwide Services Organization. For the last 5 years, he has managed large software engineering environment projects, consulted with a broad spectrum of Rational's worldwide customer base, and developed a software management approach that exploits an iterative life cycle, industry best practices, and architecture first priorities. He is author of Software Project Management, A Unified Framework, published by Addison Wesley in 1998 and a principle contributor to the management philosophy inherent in Rational's Unified Process.  Before joining Rational Software Corporation, Mr. Royce spent 16 years in software project development, software technology development and software management rolls at TRW Electronics & Defense.  Mr Royce received his BA in Physics from the University of California, his MIS in Computer Science Information and Control Engineering from the University of Michigan.
