Topic: “Risk Is Everywhere – Manage It” 

Speaker: Steve Beise – TRISSENTIAL

Abstract:

Every project has some degree of risk to it.  Project success depends on many factors, including proactive management of key project risks.  Steve Beise has managed many high profile, high risk projects and will share his thoughts and opinions, experiences and approach to risk management.  Steve anchors to the Project Management Institution’s PMBOK Guide for all project management processes, including risk management.  You’ll gain insights that you can take away and start using on your projects today. 

Topics covered: leadership, project manager roles & responsibilities, team member roles & responsibilities, risk management planning, identification, analysis, prioritization, response planning and execution.

With over 18 years of experience in business and information technology, Steve excels at bringing leadership, vision, and clarity to large complicated initiatives, with a focus on helping clients achieve business excellence.  His ability to quickly assess situations, instill confidence in his teams and ability to demonstrate value to executives, has resulted in many successful initiatives for his clients.            

Steve is accomplished and professional, with strong initiative and is driven to achieve organizational results.  He has worked with small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in industries such as marketing, retail, finance, insurance, e-business, and government.   Projects include organizational strategy, business process reengineering, organizational assessments & improvement, solution evaluation, selection & implementation, business continuity, web site development, application development, building construction, corporate office moves and more.

Twin-SPIN Mission Statement:
The Twin-SPIN software process improvement network  (SPIN) is a regional organization established in January of 1996 as a   forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement   experiences and ideas. Representatives from industry, government, academia, other professional organizations, and consultants are welcome to participate. Our mission is to help sustain commitment and enhance skills in the area of software process improvement through an active program of networking and mutual support. The organization strives to serve as a source of educational and experiential information for its members, other SPIN organizations, and the general community of software professionals.
